The history of Wheeler Construction began in 1984 when master electrician Kevin Wheeler founded Wheeler Electric. Two years later, a partnership with heavy equipment expert Roger Lynne formed Wheeler Contracting, Inc. A pivotal moment came in 1988 when we earned our SBA 8(a) certification, opening doors to major government projects and establishing our reputation for excellence.

Following Roger’s retirement in 2012, Brady and Kevin Wheeler refined the company’s focus to specialize exclusively in electrical construction, officially rebranding as Wheeler Construction, Inc. in 2014. Our growth didn’t stop there. In 2019, we expanded our footprint into Western North Dakota, followed by the launch of our dedicated Prefabrication Department in 2021. With the official opening of our Watford City location in 2025, we continue to grow while staying true to our core: providing the same high-quality work and integrity that Kevin started with over 40 years ago.
